Job title: Grounds Maintenance Manager

Contract: Permanent, full-time, 42.5 hours per week (inclusive of unpaid 30 minute lunch each day). Evening and weekend working may be required in the delivery of events and will be part of the flexible working arrangements.

Salary: SCP 29-32 (£19.41-£20.90ph) dependent on experience.

About: We are looking for a highly organised Grounds Maintenance Manager to join our small team here at Morecambe Town Council.

The Council is currently creating a programme of community projects which aim to work with residents to boost the appearance of open spaces and increase civic pride across the town.

As the Grounds Maintenance Manager you will support the Council by overseeing the full delivery of public realm services to support the Council’s directives. You will assist with and supervise all grounds maintenance work whilst managing a small team of Town Rangers, provide further assistance to deliver the Council’s events programme, and lead the Council’s contractual work, which will require balancing some desk-based administration and line management responsibilities with physically demanding work.
