Today the Local Government Association published their progress report on the Peer Review Challenge with Morecambe Town Council.
The Local Government Association Peer Review Challenge enables organisations to benchmark themselves against the leading authorities in the sector.
A spokesperson for Morecambe Town Council said: ‘Morecambe Town Council is proud to be one of only five parish and town councils nationally to have been chosen by the National Association of Local Councils to participate in the scheme, having been invited in recognition of its ambition and desire to make a fundamental and long-lasting change for Morecambe.
‘The LGA Peer Review Challenge has been a valuable process for Morecambe Town Council to participate in. There are some clear recommendations and action points for members and officers to take away which will help inform the continuing development of the Council and its services.’
