Independent audit specialists Heelis & Lodge have concluded that Morecambe Town Council's financial procedures and governance arrangements are appropriate and effective.

Cllr Clark Kent, Chairperson of Morecambe Town Council, has made a statement on behalf of the Town Council regarding the ongoing situation at Morecambe Football Club.

The project is part of the latest stage of the venue’s restoration under the direction of the Morecambe Winter Gardens Preservation Trust.

The event will take place on Saturday 16th August, celebrating Morecambe's heritage, culture and environment.

The unaudited annual accounts for the 2024/2025 financial year (ended 31 March 2025) will be available to inspect between 9th June and 18th July 2025 inclusive.

The grant award takes the Council's total funding support for Pride to over £37,000 since 2021. 

Morecambe Town Council has awarded a grant of £3,000 to Bare Community Association in support of three events taking place in the village this year.

The popular event returns 31st May - 1st June with the theme 'The Age of Dragons' promising another fantastical weekend of entertainment.
