The Localism Act 2011 requires that the Monitoring Officer for the area within which the Morecambe Town Council sits, establishes and maintains a Register of Interests of elected and co-opted members. This is maintained therefore by the Monitoring Officer at Lancaster City Council.
However, the Town Council is also required to publish details of the Interests declared by its elected members on this website.
Currently the Town Council has no co-opted members.
The Town Council’s revised Members’ Code of Conduct, adopted on 19 July 2012, requires elected and co-opted members to register their disclosable pecuniary interests and other interests relating to appointments to outside bodies and gifts and hospitality in the register. The code of Conduct may be viewed by at: MTC Code of Conduct
Full details of the pecuniary and other interests declared by each Morecambe Town Councillor are set out below by clicking on the name of each Councillor. Please note the signatures of Councillors have been blanked out to avoid signatures being copied and used for illegal purposes.
The declarations are set out in Ward representation order.
The Register may also be viewed at the office of the Monitoring Officer at Lancaster Town Hall or at the Town Council Office, situated at Morecambe Town Hall. If you wish to view the register in person please contact the Town Clerk to arrange an appointment as the Town Clerk is not always at the Office due to meeting commitments, by telephone on (01524) 42292 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
