The Festival of the Bay 2018 celebrates the wonderful history, nature, landscapes and creative communities of Morecambe Bay – a place like no other. Take your pick from a programme of walks, talks, tours, workshops, performances, exhibitions and special celebration events – designed to get you exploring every corner of this stunning area.
Bring the family to explore the Bay’s wildlife or develop your creative skills at an art workshop. Get on your bike or tramper or dust off your walking boots to join one of the many guided rides and walks to some of the Bay’s hidden places and special viewpoints.
However you choose to do it – get out and about and discover the extraordinary fishing heritage of Morecambe Bay through dance, music and local memories.
Go ‘digital digging’, get your feet tapping to sea shanty’s, listen to storytellers, join dancers, landscape lovers, nature experts, artists, musicians and archaeologists – see the Bay through their eyes. Camp out on a nearby campsite and learn bushcraft skills together.
