The Town Council
Morecambe Town Council was formed in May 2009 following a successful campaign by Councillor Evelyn Archer. The Town Council is made up of 26 councillors covering the six wards Morecambe, Bare, Harbour, Heysham North, Poulton, Torrisholme and Westgate.
The Town Clerk, David Croxall serves the members of the town council and assists in the organising of projects, events, meetings and is also the Responsible Finance Officer for the Town Council.
The Town Council is the voice of the town. We are here to listen and take note of public opinion and support those in our community. We aim to improve the lives of those living in the six wards and encourage development, economic regeneration and tourism to the area once again.
Full council meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month and are open to the public for questions. Members of the public are welcome to attend to observe, but questions must follow the rules in our standing orders.
If you would like to meet with the Clerk, a member from your ward or the council Chairman for a consultation before addressing the council or wish to have a private meeting, this can be arranged by contacting the Clerk through the Contact Us Section.
