- Morecambe Town Council – Dome Toilets - Invitation to tender for provision of cleaning in 2019
Morecambe Town Council took over by lease the management of the Dome Toilets situated on Morecambe Promenade, Marine Road, Morecambe from Lancaster City Council in 2017.
The Town Council intends to open the toilets for 60 days in 2019 initially with the following opening schedule:
19th – 22nd April
6th May. 27th May and 26th August
28th May – 31st May (May half term)
12th – 16th August; 19th – 23rd August; 26th – 30th August
31st August – 1st September
The toilets will be served by an external door that is coin operable for members of the public (20p) and will be opened/locked electronically and remotely by the Town Council on the days and times set out above.
Tenders are now sought for the provision of cleaning and maintenance to these toilets in relation to the 60 days opening in 2019.
The male side includes 5 cubicles and 5 urinals as well as sinks and soap dispensers.
The female side includes 10 cubicles as well as sinks and soap dispensers.
The toilet block also includes a Disabled toilet unit in both the female and male sides of the block. Within each disabled unit there is a baby change tray within the disabled toilet in both the female and male side of the toilets.
There is a suitable storage cupboard for cleaning materials and equipement within the female side of the block, and the successful contractor will be responsible for the ordering and supply of all cleaning materials and toilet rolls. As detailed in the attached specification these costs should be factored into your quotation.
If you wish to submit a tender, the Council would be grateful if you meet the short deadline for responses of 5 p.m. on Friday 5th April 2019.

The Council would provide a key for the selected Company to gain access to the toilets as the toilets will only be accessible normally during their hours of opening and on the payment of 20p per visit.
A permit would be provided to the successful contractor for accessing the promenade and parking outside the toilets when undertaking your work.
